Community Healthcare and Resource Directory
Community Healthcare and resource Directory (CHARD) was created as a cooperative venture between the Ministry of Health Services, HealthLink BC and the BC Medical Association.
CHARD is a free, secure and easy-to–use, web-based service, that provides detailed information on Healthcare specialists and resources, to doctors. CHARD was launched in April 2010 and initially focused on mental health and addiction.
Now the service is expanding to include musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, cancer, respiratory, renal, neurodegenerative and palliative care topics. CHARD has potential to be a great resource to patients and GPs, because it makes creates a link between eastern and western health care practitioners.
The TCMABC encourages its members to register with CHARD. This will give patients in BC greater information & access to the services of a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.), TCMP or Dr.TCM. We appreciate that the BC Ministry of Health Services has spearheaded this innovative web-based resource.
