About the TCMABC

The Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of BC (TCMA) was founded in 1992 to serve the practitioners in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in British Columbia, Canada.

It was one of the first associations to petition the BC government to regulate (professionalize) the practice of TCM.

In 2000 the government of B.C. passed the TCM and Acupuncture Regulation and established the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA) to register practitioners.

Any registered TCM practitioners (which includes acupuncturists) of British Columbia may join the TCMABC by completing the application form and submit the necessary fees.
