John Blazevic, Treasurer

John is a registered acupuncturist. He graduated as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999 and then traveled to China for intensive studies at the JiangYin TCM Hospital, studying acupuncture, herbal medicine, and tui na. John continued his classical Oriental medical studies in Japan, apprenticing there for 5 years under his teacher Edward Obaidey. John has been deeply influenced by the compassion and great work of Edward Sensei and Ikeda Masakazu Sensei.

John specializes in treating the individual by applying classical theories and using all types of needles, lots of moxa, and bodywork. Traditionally, the role of the doctor was that of healer and also teacher of health. John believes it is important to teach the community how to maintain their health and recover from disease more quickly. John is interested in bringing to life the classical theories and methods and studying under teachers who can revive this lost art. He also is very interested in Qi Gong, I Chuan, and Tai Chi

John’s clinic is on Main Street in Vancouver, www.johnsacupuncture.com.  He can be emailed at

bio to come

Fion Chou

Fion grew up in a family in which both her father and brother practiced acupuncture. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been deeply ingrained in her and became her true calling after coming to a major career transition several years ago. Growing up Fion watched many people come and go to and from her house to receive acupuncture treatments from her father.  When people would show up a few days later to offer home made food to her family she realized that these treatments had really made a difference, this had a profound effect on her. Later in life when a crossroad presented itself, Fion asked herself what she could do to make a difference in her community and in the lives of others. She decided to go back to school and chose the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine.  Since graduating Fion has and received additional trainings in China and continues to further her education by attending seminars whenever possible.

Fion believes Serving on the board of TCMABC is another great way of giving back to the community and to make acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine available and accessible to the public.

Fion’s clinic is in Mount Pleasant area, for more information please visit www.divinehealthclinic.com.
